Santa Rosa

Overview

Santa Rosa is one of the few properties that fulfills Farmfolio’s stringent criteria for farmland selection. At 3,180 feet above sea level, the farm is situated within the targeted altitude range for lime cultivation, and studies show high concentrations of crucial nutrients such as magnesium and potassium due to the natural properties of the area’s soils. The area receives a healthy level of rainfall, measured at an average of 2,200 millimeters per year, which is balanced by ample sunlight and a highly consistent temperature generally ranging from 57° to 75° degrees Fahrenheit.

Location

Santa Rosa is located in strategic proximity to an enormous value driver that will reshape the Colombian economy - the 4G infrastructure initiative. This project will implement nearly 5,000 miles of modern roadways through 29 interconnected highway systems, linking interior regions such as Caldas with coastal cities like Apartadó, Cartagena, and Santa Marta. This connectivity will improve logistical efficiency, stimulate urban expansion, and exponentially increase trade. As it happens, two of the most important roadways of this project, called the Vía al Mar 1 and 2, will pass in close proximity to Santa Rosa, which will lead to tremendous upside in terms of appreciation.
